To Chop or not to Chop?
Summer is almost here and its time to make one the most defining hair decisions of the year. The summer chop. Now, It does make more sense to have shorter hair in the summer because of the heat and ease. But is it worth the year long struggle to grow out your hair?
When you think of your dream summer hair, I am willing to bet its somewhere along the lines of long, layered, wavy "beachiness". However, as much as we would all love to have Victoria's Secret beach hair, we should begin to take into consideration all of the extensions and photo editing that goes into the models hair. Naturally, your long hair is not going to style itself sexy. Its going to be long, hot and sticky from the humidity. Realistically long hair is going to require a lot more styling time, unless your just going to pony tail it everyday (no one should ever make the pony tail an everyday thing). Also, pulling your hair up can be extremely damaging and cause a lot of breakage.
Summer is a great time to go short because of the ease and low everyday maintenance. Super cute long bobs are in right now, along with lots of fun texturing and fringe to the shorter bob. Short haircuts can bring out waves and curls within the hair because they are not as heavy. Don't forget the new Robin Wright look that has become quite popular thanks to the Netflix series "House of Cards", whats easier than a pixie? Summer is also a great time to go short because you tend to have a healthy glow from the sun and you' re toned and looking beach ready. Short hair will draw more attention to your pretty face and show off your summer bod with style.
