Trend Alert!

Thanks to LC, Jen Anniston and of course the Kardashain Krew-- grown out is in. Dark roots complimented by beautiful highlights are everywhere we look this season. A more relaxed version of last summer's ombre,  the trend is adding a bit of glamour to a natural look. And by glamour, yes we mean balayage.
Balayage is a French highlighting technique that mimic natural highlights from the sun. The balayage highlight never fully touches the scalp and usually are applied in various heights, making a line of demarcation impossible. When applying, the product is swept onto the hair creating a gentle fade of color.
Now obviously sweeping light color through the ends of the hair toward the top creates an ombre style, but we use balayage for partial and full highlights as well. Balayage, rather than foil highlights, tend to look more sunkissed and not so repetitive-- also WAY lower maintenance. Most Balayage clients come to the salon maximum three times a year! Balayage is a great way to spice up a summer look without completely changing your hair identity. An ideal hair trend for anyone with a fashion sense living on a budget.
