This past Sunday, some of us were lucky enough to be educated on Davines’ Goldess Collection. Goldess is a combination of modern and wearable. There are several different lengths of hair within the collection. The key to this collection is the color itself. Rose gold, gold, and copper gold are the three colors we see most in this collection, creating balance and contrast within the look. “Gold is not a color, but a timeless glow that evokes the sun and wellbeing.” Our Davines Educator Katie taught us the look “Breaking Dawn”. A play on the modern bob, Breaking Dawn features a long bob with heavy corners and small stacking in the back. Katie first demoed on her mannequin and then it was our turn to cut. After cutting and some delicious lunch, we began our coloring portion of class. The technique used to color the mannequins was new to a lot of us, seeing as how it is not a normal hair color technique. Painting the hair section by section creates light around the face that fades into the rest of the color. The class and our instructors were amazing. We cannot wait to recreate all that we have learned on our clients! HUGE thank you to Mercedes and our Davines team! Does it look like we had any fun?
