Its way too hot to have your long hair down and it seems like a waste to be rocking the basic ponytail all summer long. I mean who wants to be basic?
But you have to do something with that long hair because the heat and long locks do not match. And cutting a lot of hair off is a bit to drastic for just a sweltering season. First up we have the crowd fav, the twin top buns. This style has been on a trend rise lately, its easily paired with glitter roots or a cute choker. The style is very simple and easy to quickly to change your hair from a hot mess in to fun little buns. It involves putting your hair into pig tails placed close to your part line. Then all you do is tease the hair to look fuller and wrap it around the base (not to tight) and bobby pin that bad boy and your ready to go!

Fishtail into pony

Another easy style that works on adding style to a ponytail is adding a braid going into the pony. This can easily be done with different kinds of braids, but you can add that extra dimension with a fishtail braid. Fish tail being one of the easier braids to do as well. So its a win win. 
You start with grabbing your chunks of hair at the hair line, two for fishtail or three for french braid. Then braid back to the parietal or where your head starts to slope down. Grab the rest of your hair to go into the pony (leaving a pieces out to wrap about the elastic), elastic the hair, grab that piece we left out and wrap around the elastic, boom done.

Messy bun

Every girls go-to. its fun, its cute, and its simple. You literally can not go wrong with this look. You start off with smoothing the hair back into a top pony, then fold your hair back and elastic again so you have a puff on top leaving a tail hanging out. wrap that tail around the base and pin that bad boy. Pull out and wispy hairs by your ears to complete the look.

Side fishtail braid

The fishtail braid, its is trending hard and for a good reason. Its simple, contemporary, cute, and easy. A great braid to rock this summer and literally anytime, you cant go wrong! 
You start off with two chunks of hair were ever you would like to start your braid. Twist one piece over each other back and forth over to your right or left and just tie off.

Crown Braid

The crowd braid is an uber cute style, its beautiful and looks like you put more work into it then your actually did. Were all about that. Its one of those styles you can wear messy for clean. 
Were gonna cheat on this style and do it the easy way, go ahead and braid back 4 fishtail braids in the back of your head (leaving room from the scalp to move the braids around). Pull at the braids a little to make the hair flatter and spread out. Grab the middle braids, cross them, and wrap them around the front, pinning the ends down. You should be left with the out side braids, pull the left braid around the back to the right, pin. Pull the right braid around the back to the left and pin into braids (make sure the little tails are tucked into the braid so they aren't visible). This should give you a crown braid with out doing all the hard work.
